Children's Ministries


Children are our top priority at Cal Heights. We are committed to giving our children every opportunity to learn about God and grow in their relationship with Christ. From a great Sunday School and music program to our summer Vacation Bible School, children have fun and grow at CalHeights!


Sunday School

Preschoolers through 5th graders begin in the worship service in the sanctuary at 10:00 am.  After the opening singing and Moments with Children, (a special time in the service just for the children),  they are dismissed with their teachers to attend Sunday School. 

FISH Sunday School - Get Hooked on God!

Each week pre-school and elementary-aged children participate in a different activity tied to a monthly scripture and theme.  The activities fall under one of the FISH categories:

Fellowship- Games and activities to develop relationships with our friends

Inspiration - Worship

Service - Reaching out to others/Mission Possible Kids

Hope - Developing leaders to provide hope in a hurting world

Through music, crafts, and fun activities, children put these themes into action and learn to apply them to their everyday lives. With trained and respected teachers, a warm and welcoming environment and structured lessons, children will not want to miss a week of Sunday School!


Nursery Care

We have an excellent nursery for infants through toddlers. The nursery is staffed by a licensed childcare provider and several volunteers throughout the Sunday morning hours.

Sanctuaries of Safety

You may want to know that all of our church staff and persons working with our children and youth have completed a background check and fingerprinting. As we said, our children are our top priority and we make every effort to ensure their physical, emotional and spiritual safety while they are in our care.
